Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with pediatric and women's specialty expertise to join a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. The role involves circulating and scrub duties in a busy pediatric OR unit, providing high-quality patient care for ages newborn to 17 years.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Collaborate with surgical team to prepare and maintain a sterile environment for pediatric surgeries.
  
  
• 
  Perform circulating and scrub procedures, including IV starts and surgical instrument management.
  
  
• 
  Provide patient care before, during, and after procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to OR protocols, document procedures accurately using Cerner or similar charting systems.
  
  
• 
  Respond to emergency situations and assist with robotic surgical procedures when needed.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with all certifications, licensing, and safety standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of OR experience, including pediatric and womens health settings.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate scrub and circulate experience, with pediatric general and robotic surgery preferred.
  
  
• 
  Possess BLS certification through the American Heart Association; ACLS and PALS if required.
  
  
• 
  Be able to attend an orientation and meet requirements for travel compliance, including minimum distance from the facility.
  
  
• 
  Have professional references from recent managers or charge nurses.
  
  
• 
  Possess a clean license, pending or active WV or compact license.
