Binding Transportation Producer Underwriter Job Summary Seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Binding Transportation Producer Underwriter to join a growing team. This role is responsible for underwriting and growing a transportation book of business through new business development, renewal retention, and strong agency relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience handling transportation risks, strong marketing and sales capabilities, and the ability to manage complex underwriting decisions. Responsibilities Build, maintain, and grow a book of transportation business Manage agency relationships and serve as a primary client contact Develop and execute marketing plans to drive new and renewal business opportunities Rate, quote, and bind transportation risks while evaluating acceptability, coverage, and pricing Underwrite large and complex renewals as well as new business opportunities Develop and submit underwriting referrals to brokerage facilities and management as needed Monitor underwriting performance metrics including new business production, retention, premium growth, and loss ratios Provide mentorship, training, and development support to Assistant and Associate Underwriters Travel as needed to support and maintain agency and client relationships Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Minimum of 3+ years of transportation underwriting experience required Excess & surplus lines experience preferred Demonstrated sales and marketing abilities Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license preferred CPCU, CIC, or similar professional designations preferred Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail Interest in continuing education and professional development Strong communication and relationship-building skills Compensation Package Competitive base salary plus bonus opportunity Employer-paid continuing education courses and professional designations Medical, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with employer match Paid vacation, sick time, and holidaysWellness program Flexible work options Disclaimer Please note that this job description may not cover all duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the role, and it is subject to modification at the employer's discretion. #J-18808-Ljbffr The Jonus Group
