Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that psychologists can effectively reach students and collaborate with school staff. Throughout the week, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you'll engage with educators, parents, and other mental health professionals to create a holistic support system for students. Some evenings and weekends may be required to cater to students’ scheduling needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning of students.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessment results, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to the school environment.

• Provide psychotherapy services in individual, couple, family, and group settings, addressing a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues.

• Administer and interpret psychological tests to aid in establishing diagnoses and informing treatment plans.
\n
• Collaborate with educational staff and other mental health professionals to facilitate integrated care and ensure students receive a continuum of support.

• Provide crisis intervention to students in acute distress, ensuring their immediate safety and developing appropriate referral pathways.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and any relevant communications to comply with legal and ethical standards.

• Remain current with ongoing research and developments in psychology, enhancing your skills and contributing to clinic practices.

• Offer supervision and support to interns and emerging mental health professionals as needed.

• Engage actively in case conferences, connecting with multidisciplinary teams to enhance treatment approaches and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse student population in primary and secondary schools, addressing a wide range of mental health issues specific to youth. This includes collaborating with families and educators to ensure that each child’s academic, social, and emotional needs are met—contributing to improved student performance and well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid state license to practice as a Psychologist in California.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience within a clinical setting, with specific experience working with children and adolescents highly desired.

• In-depth knowledge of psychological theories, various assessment tools, and contemporary, evidence-based treatment modalities relevant to school settings.

• Proficient in conducting psychological assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and formulating clear treatment plans.

• Demonstrable experience in providing therapy services for individuals and groups, using a variety of therapeutic modalities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively build rapport with students and collaborate with staff.

• The ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment that includes educators, counselors, and administrators.

Compensation and Benefits\n
