Short Description Knowledge of medical insurance terminology, computer skills for scheduling, and familiarity with general office procedures and equipment; arranging appointments for care and providing exceptional customer service. Verifying insurance eligibility and ensuring that insurance requirements are met prior to delivery of service. Explaining financial requirements to the patients or responsible parties including authorization process and deductibles. Accurately processing all requests and documenting appropriate information within a time-sensitive environment. Dealing with the public with professionalism and compassion in stressful situations, preventing, calming, or defusing irate callers and patients by working with them to identify concerns and properly direct calls. Hearing inquiries from patients, physicians, clients or staff, answering the phone, and speaking with patients. Experience Required Extensive knowledge of medical/radiology terminology. Minimum 3 years medical office/authorization/insurance experience, preferred. Positive, upbeat disposition with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Must be proficient in Word, Excel and EMR, and have good organizational skills. Education Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. #J-18808-Ljbffr
