Job Title: RN - Endoscopy Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1 year in Endoscopy License: Current RN License eligible for licensure in Missouri Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only Must-Have: - Procedure room experience - Charting - Turning and conscious sedation - Available to start within 4 weeks Description: This position involves performing direct patient care activities for all age groups. Duties include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The RN will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort. The role functions within the established guidelines of nursing practice. The RN is responsible for adhering to the Code of Professional and Business Ethics and the Employee Code of Conduct. Physical requirements include standing, walking, and sitting during duty hours. The position may involve lifting, pushing, and moving heavy equipment. Basic dysrhythmia knowledge is necessary for this role. Good communication skills are essential for collaboration with physicians and staff. Skills to work with delicate instruments are required. The unit can accommodate a variety of patient needs in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The RN will assist with pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care. Work may include varying schedules and shifts based on patient care requirements. The RN may be required to work with fluoroscopy and various medical equipment. This role involves operating video/fiberoptic endoscopic systems and patient monitoring equipment. Teamwork and adapting to a fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this position.
