Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Compliance Agent in Ashburn, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a government education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through strong customer service and communication. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Tue07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Wed07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Thur07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with entry procedures, directions, and reporting concerns related to trespassing, loitering, and/or policy violations. Support daily operations by observing the location for maintenance issues, unsecured doors, and/or other concerns, then reporting findings through appropriate channels. Minimum Requirements A guard card and/or license is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
