Telemetry Technician

FULL TIME - NIGHTS HOURS: 6:45PM TO 7:15AM. Scope of Work Monitor non‐invasive cardiac activity and other clinical parameters of patients ranging from adolescence to geriatric populations by continuous electrocardiographic display and pulse oximetry. Interpret patient’s cardiac rhythm and perform critical alarm hand‑off with the nursing unit appropriately. Maintain data related to monitoring and provide daily reports for the patient’s permanent medical record via electronic shift report directly into EMR. Qualifications High School education or GED. Certified Cardiovascular Technician School or comparable certification preferred. Excellent knowledge of advanced ECG interpretation demonstrated by an arrhythmia skills validation from the department. Excellent written and verbal communication and report‑generating skills. Previous Holter scanning, paramedic, nurse technician, stress testing or telemetry experience preferred. One year of relevant experience preferred as an EKG technician, medical assistant, emergency technician, or nursing assistant. CRAT – Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician preferable but not required. Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations. High level of adaptability to multiple technologies simultaneously; ability to multitask in high‑stress situations.
