Your Role and Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues independently or in partnership with physicians according to your credentials
• Educating individuals and families about prevention strategies, health maintenance, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies aligned with your practice scope
• Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic illnesses
• Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive and continuous care
• Maintaining accurate and complete documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education & Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Licenses & Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Virginia
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within 90 days)
