Summary of Responsibilities

The Business Analyst in coordination with the Business Development Manager conducts strategic business research and analysis to develop financial business cases, plans and market research studies in support of business planning and quoting specific client directions and initiatives.  The Business Analyst applies related business and financial principles to determine areas of risk against structured assumptions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Conducts and coordinates financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic business planning and quoting

· Manages and coordinates survey databases as appropriate to define strategic benchmarking activities to further develop and expand Modatek knowledge-base

· Performs specified data analysis and studies as requested, and develops and presents ad hoc reports in support of various initiatives, both internal and external

· Provides consultative, technical, and staff support of strategic planning and decision-making

· Identifies and develops plan requirements and actively participates in creating the client plan itself

· Responds promptly and effectively to changing work environments and priorities with internal resources, clients and third parties

· Ensures timely, accurate and complete communication to create and maintain excellent working relations

· Works closely with internal and external resources to analyze and optimize profitability

· Identifies and understand Cosma’s product and capacity utilisation targets

· Manages interface to Cosma related to new business capital requests and processes requests in accordance to Cosma standards

· Suggests and implements improvements to internal processes and procedures

· Aids in the development, tracking and implementation of methods to improve productivity by working closely with the related resources

· Understands process documentation and customer specific requirements as they relate to this job function

· Assists in developing, maintaining and documenting quote models and associated assumptions

Qualifications

· Ability to create, edit and present business cases and comparative financial studies

· Knowledge of the principles of strategic business decision-making

· Skill in the use of spreadsheet, and word processing software to process data and generate reports

· Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools

·  Excellent organizational and document/data management skills

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·  Personality and presentation appropriate for customer interface

·  Ability to work effectively under variable workload and stress

·  Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships in a team environment

·  Ability to uphold confidentiality

·  Ability to work overtime to meet customer needs

·  Ability to travel internationally

·   Must be able to understand written instructions

Education, Skills and Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field

· Strong background in financial analysis, cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting

· Minimum 3 years in related experience

· Excellent analytical skills

· Strong background with information technology

· Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, with extreme proficiency working with Microsoft Excel

Work Environment

· Primarily office and includes manufacturing plant; plant floor characterized by temperature extremes, loud noise and considerable tow motor traffic

· The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings and with Team Members, management, customers and suppliers.

· Flexible and additional hours as required
