Duration: 14 weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule: 11.5 hours/day | 3 days/week | 34.5 hours/week
Local Candidates Required: Yes

Pay Rate
Local: $90 - $91/hour
Traveler: $95 - $99/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN to provide specialized nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures.
Required Qualifications
2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
2 years of critical care experience.
IV insertion and phlebotomy skills.
Conscious sedation experience.
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
Masters in Education required, as stated in the scheduling notes.
New York State RN License.
Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration through NYSED.
AHA BLS certification.
AHA ACLS certification.
English – Read, Write, Speak.
Responsibilities
Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and other interventional cardiology procedures.
Establish and maintain IV access and administer medications as ordered.
Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, oxygen saturation, and patient response throughout procedures.
Administer and monitor conscious sedation under appropriate orders and protocols.
Assist physicians and the cardiac catheterization team during procedures.
Monitor patients for complications such as bleeding, arrhythmias, or changes in hemodynamic status.
Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring access sites and assessing recovery.
Perform patient education regarding procedures, medications, and post-procedure instructions.
Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses in the medical record.
Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
