We are seeking a QC Tech in our East Providence, RI Plant./ppShift: 6am-3pm, OT as required/ppPay: $25.87/ph3Job Summary/h3pAbility to perform various quality control tests on products to verify that all products meet or exceed minimum Quality Requirements. Ability to perform product inspections on Heading, Stamping, Escomatics, Heat Treating Departments and Supplier deliveries and shipping departments to ensure quality products are produced and shipped out to the customer. Standard work week 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, no travel required./ph3Duties and Responsibilities:/h3ulliInspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects/liliUse dimensional measuring devices to ensure products meet job order specifications or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions./liliEnter all test results into company database and manage documents./liliCommunicate quality issues with Quality Supervisor, Production, Shipping and scheduling daily./liliEnforce safety regulations./liliContribute to root cause analysis regarding quality issues, identify and implement appropriate corrective actions./liliCreating and following up with non-conformance reports/liliCreating Certificates of Conformance for customer shipments when required/liliAssist internal quality audits./liliAssist Production teams with process changes, quality plan documentation, and test requirement updates./liliGenerate SOPs, inspection Reports and Work Instructions as needed/liliHelp to drive continuous quality improvement and scrap reduction across the site./liliPerform quality assurance tests and visual inspections of raw materials, intermediary products, and finished goods per work instructions./liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulh3Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:/h3ulliMath Skills proficiency up to Algebra and Trigonometry./liliMust demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail./liliAbility to follow CWTs policies, procedures, and process/liliGood communication, organization, and time management skills (multi-tasking)./liliBasic computer, mathematics, and problem-solving skills; ability to use a calculator./liliAbility to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers, Optical Comparator, Thread gages, Hardness Testers)./liliTeam player able to follow instructions from both management and peers./liliAbility to learn and operate new equipment as needed./liliWorking knowledge of ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System and ISO14001 Environmental Management System ( min 1-2 years Preferred)./li/ulh3Education and Experience:/h3ulliRequired:/liulliEducation High School diploma or GED required./lili1-2 years related experience required./li/ul/ulh3Working Conditions:/h3ulliThis position conducts its work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to some odors./li/ulh3Use of the following equipment in the course of the job duties:/h3ulliUniversal testing machine./liliPower Tools./liliDimensional measuring devices./liliTape Measure./liliMoisture Meter.
