Summary
An opportunity for a Transactional Associate Attorney to handle a variety of legal matters involving real estate, contracts, corporate governance, and community association law. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, and client advisory skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze governing documents, statutes, case law, contracts, insurance policies, and real estate documents.

• Draft contracts, legal opinion letters, governing documents, rules, easement agreements, and licenses.

• Conduct legal research and provide well-founded written and verbal legal opinions.

• Negotiate agreements and resolve legal matters.

• Advise clients and communicate regularly regarding legal matters and their status.

• Attend board and annual meetings, including occasional evening meetings.

• Participate in marketing initiatives, educational programs, and business development activities.

• Travel as required.

Required Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Colorado.

• Approximately 4-6 years of progressively responsible transactional and/or litigation experience.

• Experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Real estate law

  • Nonprofit law

  • Corporate governance

  • Contract review and drafting

  • Fair housing

  • Employment law

  • Torts

• Strong analytical, legal research, and drafting skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong negotiation and client advisory abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and legal research software.

• Ability to multitask and accurately record billable time.

• Willingness to travel and attend occasional evening meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in HOA or community association law.

• Background in real estate transactions or commercial transactional law.

• Experience drafting and reviewing contracts, easements, and governing documents.

• Familiarity with case management and billing software.
