Reports To : Chief Executive Officer
Growth Department
The Growth Department is responsible for driving revenue generation and expanding the
company’s market presence. It identifies, develops, and secures new business opportunities,
strengthens customer relationships, and supports market expansion initiatives. Through business
development, strategic partnerships, and customer acquisition activities, the department ensures
sustainable growth and contributes directly to the achievement of the company’s commercial
objectives.
Role Purpose
Lead the company’s market positioning, strategic communications, brand development, and
external engagement activities to support growth in defense, government, security, commercial,
and in time consumer, markets. The role will develop and execute marketing and
communications strategies that strengthen the company’s reputation, support business
development efforts, and establish the company as a trusted provider of low costs, high
performing and scalable technologies.
Roles & Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Market Positioning :
- Develop and own the company’s marketing and communications strategy.
- Define and refine positioning across defence, government, security, and commercial
sectors.
- Conduct competitor, market, and customer analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
- Support go-to-market strategies for new products, capabilities, and programmes.
- Develop messaging that aligns technical capability with operational outcomes and
customer needs.
- Advise leadership on market perception, strategic communications, and brand
development.
Defense Industry Engagement:
- Support business development and capture activities through targeted marketing
initiatives.
- Develop materials supporting customer engagement, demonstrations, tenders, and
proposals.
Coordinate participation in defence exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, and industry
events.
- Build relationships with defence industry stakeholders, associations, media, and partners.
- Identify opportunities for thought leadership and industry influence.
External Communications & Corporate Affairs:
- Own all external communications and public-facing messaging.
- Draft media releases, announcements, executive communications, and corporate
publications.
- Ensure messaging aligns with company objectives and security requirements.
- Manage media engagement and public relations activities.
- Support crisis and issue communications when required.
Website & Digital Presence:
- Own development and maintenance of the company website.
- Ensure content accurately reflects company capabilities, products, programmes, and
strategic direction.
- Manage search engine optimization, analytics, and lead-generation performance.
- Develop campaign and event landing pages.
Social Media & Thought Leadership:
- Develop and execute social media strategy focused on credibility, influence, recruitment,
and market awareness.
- Build executive and company thought leadership profiles.
- Create content highlighting innovation, customer outcomes, demonstrations, and
company milestones.
- Monitor engagement and industry conversations
Content Development:
- Produce and manage:
Capability statements
Product brochures
Corporate presentations
White papers
Exhibition collateral
Video and digital content
Technical marketing assets
- Translate complex technical capabilities into compelling operational and commercial
narratives.
Qualifications – Required:
- 5 + years in strategic marketing, communications, public affairs, or business development
support.
- Experience in defence, aerospace, government, security, robotics, autonomy, or other
high-technology sectors.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- Experience managing websites and digital communications.
- Ability to develop both strategy and execution plans.
Qualifications – Preferred
- Experience working with defense customers or prime contractors.
- Familiarity with defense procurement environments.
- Experience supporting bids, tenders, and capture activities.
- Existing defense industry network.
- Understanding of export-controlled, sensitive, or dual-use technologies.
