About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN license Certifications: Required certifications in relevant areas Must-Have: Candidates must possess Oncology and Medical Surgical skills. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This position involves working in an oncology unit with a total of 12 beds. There will be 2-3 RNs and 1 PCT assigned per shift. During the day shift, the typical staff includes 1 charge nurse, multiple RNs, CNAs, and sitters as needed. The night shift patient ratios will be 1 nurse to 5 or 6 patients. Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Meditech, is required. The typical procedures performed on the unit include medical, surgical, and chemotherapy treatments. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in medical and surgical nursing. Candidates with medical surgical experience will be prioritized. Attention to unit guidelines and policies is necessary. The dress code for this position is scrub attire in the designated color. Weekend shifts may be rotational as needed.
