My client is a long-standing, well-respected, and successful facilities services company. They have been family-owned for almost 100 years, across 4 generations. They provide facilities services throughout the SF Bay Area to industrial and commercial clients.

They are adding an Associate Operations Manager to their team. In this role you will provide leadership, daily work direction, training and motivation to janitorial staff, supervisors, and subcontractors/partners in a diverse workforce environment. The company’s goals are to maintain the clients’ properties in clean and in orderly conditions and to provide excellent customer service.

You will focus on:

• Overseeing day-to-day operations of assigned supervisors and sites, all while maintaining high customer satisfaction;
• Managing a high volume of projects simultaneously, serving a broad spectrum of clients and their unique set of requirements;
• Providing project oversight and escalating issues as appropriate;
• Supporting the sales team by fostering loyal customers and developing new business;
• Ensuring precise delivery of day-to-day operations services and commitments;
• Leading and motivating employees to maintain and continuously improve the quality of our operations;
• Maintaining positive and productive working relationships with both internal and external customers;
• Servicing multiple accounts in an assigned geographical area of operation;
• Making personnel decisions including selection, assignment, and retention;
• Communicating with supervisors daily to ensure that workers are completing work within defined budgets;
• Assisting in communicating and verifying labor adjustments needed based on vacancy

What do they need from you?

• 2+ years’ experience overseeing janitorial staff, especially across multiple locations
• The ability to manage multiple clients, staff and projects
• You model the behaviors and standards you expect from others
• You bring ideas to make things better for the team and organization
• You hold people accountable – and help others do the same.
• Strong communication skills – you are clear in setting expectations, following through and following up
• Tech savvy or, at the very least, not tech phobic
• Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus
