Minimum 2 years experience, FIRST TIME TRAVELERS -- OK! Prefer first-timers have some experience in the area of surgery trauma. *BLS required, ACLS preferred. *EPIC required *Specialize in the care of stable trauma patients. *Pre-op and post-op care of surgical patient population. *Use of rapid response teams, blood product admin and peripheral line care and mgmt -- required. High volume patient populations include patients who have had exploratory laps, hemi-colectomies, mastectomies, lap cholecystectomies, eye surgeries, trauma and plastic surgeries. Lower volume populations include other types of surgical procedures; such as GYN (hysterectomy, myomectomy, etc). Palliative care patients, 24-observation patients, and medical overflow patients are also a part of the population served.
