We are seeking a Substance Use Counselor!
Hocking County, OH

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services – working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. The salary range for this position is $19.25-$27.08 per hour based on experience and/or licensure.

• Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant: $19.25/hr. - $22.50/hr.
• Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II: $23.11/hr. - $25.20/hr.
• Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III: $24.11/hr. - $27.08/hr.

Essential Functions:

• Assess the strengths and needs of those seeking support for substance use disorder.
• Perform level of care assessments for treatment placement.
• Coordinate resources and services for individuals served.
• Carry out group and individual SUD psychotherapy.
• Perform routine and timely outreach to referrals and those who experience a lapse in treatment.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of client contact and related activities.
• Attend team meetings, collaborate with community partners, participate in related programs to support individuals served.
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with behavioral medicine and other teams within ISBH.
• Meets billing productivity requirements established by Integrated Services for Behavioral Health.
• Build relationships and network with partners to build substance use program, expand referral base and strengthen community relationships
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• License to perform SUD psychotherapy issued by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
• Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years related experience in the field.
• Demonstrated high degree of cultural awareness.
• Experience with multi-need individuals and families.
• Broad knowledge of community service systems.
• Willing to participate in and lead cross-systems team-building activities.
• Able to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression.
• Must be able to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment.
