**Job Brief **

Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Grind Operator for our client. This job involves operating multiple grinding machines while performing saw body handling, grinding wheel changeovers, inspection, and material movement. This position requires maintaining productivity and quality standards while working safely in a wet grinding environment.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

· Operate multiple grinders positioned side by side or across from one another.

· Use a micrometer for inspection.

· Use torque ratchets for proper tightening and safe wheel changes.

· Lift and load saw bodies.

· Pull and remove saw bodies using handheld magnets and place them into drying racks.

· Push and pull loaded carts to the next work center.

· Use a hand grinder to deburr arbor holes and copper plugs.

· Perform grinding wheel changeovers.

· Clean used grinding material and metal shavings from equipment and work areas.

· Manage multiple job changeovers and setups while meeting productivity and quality goals.

· Work independently and as part of a team.

What Are the Requirements of the Job?

· High School or better

· Math skills

· Knowledge and use of micrometer for inspection

· Knowledge of torque ratchets for proper tightening and safety on wheel changes

· Lifting and loading of saw bodies

· Pulling and removing of saw bodies with handheld magnets to unload machines into drying racks

· Pushing and pulling loaded carts to next work center

· Able to use hand grinder to de-burr both sides of arbors holes and copper plugs to ready for grinding

· Able to lift 5 to 40 pounds repeatedly (saws and grinding wheel changeovers)

· Clean and remove used grinding material and metal shaving from equipment and work area

· Able to maintain and balance numerous job changeovers and set-ups while meeting or exceeding established productivity and quality goals

· Work independently and with a team

· Regular dependable attendance and punctuality

· Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

· Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.

· Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.

· Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.

· Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time

· Communication skills.
