Stockroom Associate
The Stockroom Associate supports production by manually packing containers of finished goods into boxes, preparing products for shipment or storage, and assisting with basic inspection and lubrication of packaging equipment. This role requires comfort with repeated lifting of 3040 pounds, attention to cleanliness and organization, and a strong focus on safety and sanitation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manually pack containers of finished goods into boxes in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
- Lift, move, and handle materials weighing approximately 3040 pounds throughout the shift.
- Assist with basic inspection of packaging equipment to help identify visible issues or irregularities.
- Support lubrication and simple upkeep of packaging equipment as directed by production staff or maintenance.
- Prepare finished products for shipment or storage, including labeling, stacking, and staging boxes or pallets.
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties in the stockroom and production areas to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow inventory and material handling procedures to ensure products and supplies are stored and rotated correctly.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed, including loading or unloading containers and organizing incoming and outgoing materials.
- Work inside truck containers as required, adapting to varying temperatures that may be hot or cold depending on the weather.
- Adhere strictly to all safety rules, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and facility policies at all times.
Essential Skills
- Ability to repeatedly lift and handle 3040 pounds safely.
- Experience with inventory, material handling, or warehouse operations.
- Experience in packaging, production, or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail when packing, labeling, and preparing products for shipment or storage.
- Willingness to perform housekeeping and sanitation tasks as part of daily duties.
- Reliability and punctuality in a shift-based production setting.
- Comfort working in environments that may have strong odors, such as pet food production.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience (preferred).
- Experience as a Packaging Operator, Production Worker, Production Operator, Assembly Technician, or similar role.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong safety mindset and willingness to wear and maintain required PPE at all times.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing facility that produces dog food, so the environment can have strong odors. You will work in and around truck containers, where temperatures can be very hot or very cold depending on outdoor conditions. The position requires the use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hair net, ear plugs, and safety shoes, as well as facility-issued uniforms and bump caps. Jeans or durable work pants are appropriate; tight-fitting clothing such as yoga pants is not permitted. No jewelry of any kind is allowed, and artificial eyelashes, artificial nails, and nail polish are not permitted; if nail polish is worn, gloves must be used in accordance with site rules. The facility maintains strict safety and sanitation standards, and all team members are expected to follow these guidelines consistently.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
