Travel Registered Nurse – Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)

Birmingham, Alabama

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit serving neurological and intensive care patients
• Manage and monitor patients on ventilators, arterial lines, and central venous lines
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity and unit needs
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Cerner EMR
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Adhere to facility dress code, wearing navy scrubs at all times

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• Proficiency with ICU equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, and central venous lines
• Experience with Cerner EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neurological ICU experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with medical, neuro, and surgical intensive care patient populations
