Specialty Representative, Gastroenterology - Wilmington, NC

Field-based specialty sales position focused on gastroenterology products across North Carolina and South Carolina territories. The representative will execute brand strategy, manage customer relationships, and drive sales performance while maintaining clinical expertise and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute sales calls using SMART objectives and post-call evaluations to improve performance and close opportunities
• Develop and maintain call plans targeting key customers while managing territory coverage and call metrics
• Build trusted customer relationships by proactively addressing needs and creating win-win solutions
• Gather and share market intelligence on competitors, customer needs, disease state, and clinical data with internal teams
• Identify and develop disease state experts and speakers to differentiate AbbVie's value proposition

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business; or 5+ years industry experience with 3+ in pharmaceutical sector
• Proven sales success with strong presentation skills and ability to adapt selling approach to customer styles
• Leadership experience with demonstrated track record of increased responsibility and sales performance
• Healthcare industry representative credentialing eligibility and ability to pass background checks and drug screening
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and safe driving record
• In-depth scientific and therapeutic knowledge with strong business acumen and strategic thinking
• English language proficiency, verbally and in writing
