The Reef Seafood & Steak in Wilmington, DE is looking for a Part Time Bartender to join our strong team. We are located at 18 Carpenter Plz. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and reliable. Must be available nights and weekends. Job Summary Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills by displaying outlined service behaviors. Maintains an upbeat and positive attitude, creates positive energy with gestures and sustains enthusiasm from one interaction to the next. Is ready to serve and is informed of daily information and able to learn about guest’s preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. Builds relationships by greeting guests with a warm, friendly verbal greeting. Anticipates needs and provides fast, flawless service. Checks for satisfaction and effectively resolves service breakdowns when they exist. Provides a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting. How You Will Create the Extraordinary Prepares ordered drinks with proper portions and ingredients. Operates a cash register, ringing the proper amount into the register and giving guest or waiter/waitress the correct change. Maintains a respectful control over guests at all times. Resourceful with all beverages, fruit, and supplies in order to maintain low beverage costs. Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines and as outlined in Delaware Alcoholic Beverage Server Training certification. What You Will Need High School Diploma or equivalent Knowledge of operating cash register and bar equipment 1 - 2 + years experience required Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Team player is MUST Strong task and time management abilities Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift up to 30 lbs Operating Principles: Clean – Keep all areas clean and pristine; Safe – Follow all safety policies and procedures; Friendly – Use customer courtesy skills ofFamily Style Service to provide superior guest service; Fun – Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards. Tools and Technology Computer station, FuturePOS cash register system; Serving trays and cash caddy; beverage dispensers; blender; ice cart/tub; hand dolly; cleaning materials; wet mops and brooms.
