Donor Center Phlebotomist

Job Description We provide paid training – no prior medical experience required; phlebotomy experience preferred. As a member of the American Red Cross, you will assist with all steps of the blood collection process at our fixed site locations, creating a welcoming environment for donor volunteers and following safety procedures. Watch a short video at rdcrss.org/lifesavingrole for more. Key Responsibilities Personally connect with donors, listen to their stories, and explain the impact of their donation. Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment for volunteer donors. Maintain attention to detail daily to ensure blood collected meets regulatory requirements and is transfusable. Standard Schedule (St Peters, Missouri) Variable hours, 4 shifts of 10 hours. Some weekends required. Variable schedule may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedule provided 2-3 weeks in advance. Pay Information Starting rate $20.66 per hour, with potential increase based on experience. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent education and work experience. Minimum one year of customer service experience in a public setting. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights, sit or stand for extended periods, and adapt to irregular hours and frequent schedule changes. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, medical assistant, EMT, etc.).
