Senior Business Development Manager – Staffing & Recruiting
Southern California – Orange County / Los Angeles Territory
$95000 - $100,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission | Target Compensation $150,000+

Legacy Career Solutions is recruiting an experienced Senior Business Development Manager for an established, veteran-owned staffing and recruiting firm serving Southern California.

This is not an entry-level sales position and it is not a role for someone looking to transition into staffing sales for the first time.

We are looking for an experienced staffing professional who knows how to open new accounts, develop client relationships, generate job orders, grow gross profit, and turn an initial staffing opportunity into a long-term client relationship.

The company has an experienced recruiting team in place to support the business generated by this position. The Business Development Manager will focus primarily on new-client acquisition, account development, client communication, and revenue growth rather than personally recruiting every position they sell.

What You Will Do

• Develop new staffing and recruiting clients throughout Orange County and Los Angeles.
• Prospect and build relationships with hiring managers, HR leaders, executives, and other decision-makers.
• Generate qualified staffing and direct-hire job orders.
• Conduct client meetings, discovery conversations, presentations, and follow-up.
• Develop new accounts from initial opportunity through active client relationship.
• Expand existing relationships into additional departments, locations, and staffing needs.
• Work closely with the internal recruiting team to ensure successful delivery on client requirements.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients after business is secured.
• Develop a disciplined sales pipeline and consistently move opportunities toward close.
• Track meaningful sales activity including client meetings, opportunities, job orders, new accounts, gross profit, and revenue.
• Represent the organization professionally at networking events, industry functions, and client meetings.

What We Are Looking For

Staffing industry sales experience is strongly preferred and will be a major factor in candidate selection.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of business development or sales experience within staffing, recruiting, workforce solutions, or a closely related industry.
• A demonstrated history of winning new staffing accounts , not simply managing inherited business.
• Experience selling temporary staffing, temp-to-hire, direct hire, or professional recruiting services.
• A track record of producing measurable revenue or gross profit.
• Experience developing relationships with decision-makers and growing accounts over time.
• Strong prospecting and networking skills.
• Ability to discuss previous production metrics, including new accounts, job orders, placements, revenue, or gross profit.
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while partnering closely with recruiters and company leadership.
• Willingness to conduct in-person client meetings throughout the Orange County and Los Angeles market.

The Person We Want

We are especially interested in someone who can point to examples such as:

• Opening a completely new staffing account.
• Getting into a large organization initially as a secondary or supplemental vendor and expanding the relationship.
• Converting networking relationships into revenue.
• Growing accounts substantially after the initial placement or job order.
• Consistently producing new logos rather than relying primarily on existing accounts.

This opportunity is well suited for an experienced staffing salesperson who wants more than another sales territory. The individual selected will have the opportunity to play an important role in the continued growth of an established staffing company and work directly with company leadership.

Compensation

Base Salary: $95,000 -$100,000 annually
Commission: Uncapped
Target Total Compensation: Approximately $150,000+ based on performance

Actual total earnings will depend upon individual sales production.
