Description

Essential Job Functions:

• Plan, scope, and lead capital expenditure (CapEx) projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with operational and business objectives
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, finance, and external vendors/contractors
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment and systems
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
• Support long-term capital planning by identifying equipment lifecycle needs and infrastructure upgrades
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime
• Perform routine inspections and servicing of machinery, systems, and facility infrastructure
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and continuous improvement
• Create, update, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance and repair activities
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance work, equipment history, and system performance using CMMS systems
• Supervise maintenance technicians and coordinate work with external contractors
• Support team development through technical training and mentoring
• Collaborate with operations and production teams to align maintenance priorities
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, codes, and industry standards
• Promote a culture of safety by identifying and mitigating workplace hazards
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement corrective/preventive measures
• Monitor KPIs such as downtime and equipment performance

Critical Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience in maintenance engineering or similar role in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic systems
• Experience with CMMS platforms and maintenance planning tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience leading teams or managing vendors/contractors
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or reliability engineering practices
