Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Labor and Delivery RN Opportunity

Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN to provide high-quality care to obstetric patients during night shifts. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in managing high-risk pregnancies and autonomous practice capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor laboring patients to ensure safety and well-being.
• Perform fetal assessments, including fetal heart monitoring and vag exams.
• Administer medications such as MgSO4 and respond to high-risk pregnancy needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurse midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatologists.
• Document patient care accurately in Epic electronic system.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid California RN license.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent, strong Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fetal assessment and high-risk obstetrics.
• Be capable of autonomous practice and performing vag exams.
• Preferably have EPIC system experience and travel nursing background.
