Riverside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing located in Castleton-on-Hudson (10 minutes from Albany) is looking for a dynamic, compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our progressive in-house rehabilitation team. Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

• Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer occupational therapy treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician or nurse practitioner.
• Administer prescribed treatments to help restore or maintain resident function.
• Support residents in preventing disability or further decline following injury, illness, or a medical event.
• Help residents reach their highest practical level of well-being.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and facility staff.
• Serve as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, contributing to the development and review of resident care plans.
• Complete all required documentation promptly in both the Rehabilitation and Facility EMR systems, in accordance with facility policy and state and federal regulations.
• Assist in educating residents, resident representatives, and other departments on occupational therapy and resident care.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Participate in all facility and departmental training, including infection control, fire safety, bloodborne pathogens, and equipment use.

Skills & Requirements

• Current New York State Occupational Therapy License in good standing

• NBCOT Certification

• Previous long-term care (LTC) experience preferred

• Strong, engaging verbal and written communication skills
