Here, you’ll find everything you need to excel in your job including outstanding facilities, comprehensive resources and talented teammates in partnering for healing and a healthy future.**Responsibilities*** Provide **prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care** to women and their newborns.* Conduct **routine gynecological exams**, including Pap smears and breast exams.* Offer **family planning services** and contraceptive counseling.* Assist with **labor and delivery**, including natural and medically assisted births.* Monitor the **health of mother and baby** during and after childbirth.* Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.* Collaborate with OB-GYNs, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.* Educate patients on **reproductive health, childbirth preparation, and newborn care**.* Maintain accurate and detailed **medical records**.* Advocate for **holistic, patient-centered care** and support maternal mental health**Requirements*** **Registered Nurse (RN) license** and **Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)** license in Washington State.* Successful completion of an American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)-accredited nurse-midwifery program* Current active certification by the **American Midwifery Certification Board** (or its predecessor, the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) Certification Council), or be actively seeking initial certification and obtain the same on the first examination for which he or she is eligible* Clinical experience in **obstetrics, gynecology, or women’s health**.* Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.* DEA, NPI & Prescriptive authority* Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association**About Covington Medical Center** MultiCare Covington Medical Center, a four-story, 58-bed hub, serves southeast King County with inpatient and outpatient surgical care, a birth center, primary and specialty care, urgent care, 24-hour Emergency Department, pharmacy, lab and imaging services. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $191,000.00 - $198,600.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
