Tax Supervisor – Public Accounting (Hybrid) | Memorial City Area – Houston, TX We are partnering with a well-established CPA firm located in the Memorial City area that is actively looking to add a Tax Supervisor to their growing team. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Prime Houston location – easy access from SW, West, NW, and Central Houston Limited overtime outside of busy season Exposure to complex, high-value clients, and entities Collaborative and supportive team environment Clear path for growth and advancement Key Responsibilities Review and oversee preparation of federal and state tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, and trust) Prepare and review complex returns, including multinational entities and estates Build and manage strong client relationships Supervise, mentor, and develop staff-level team members Provide tax planning and advisory support to clients Manage IRS correspondence and examinations Conduct technical tax research and clearly communicate findings Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and best practices Support new business development efforts and firm initiatives Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting CPA preferred OR actively pursuing (at least 2–3 parts passed and committed) 5+ years of public accounting experience 2+ years of experience supervising or mentoring staff Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients Team-oriented with strong organizational and leadership abilities This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to work with sophisticated clients while maintaining a more balanced lifestyle than traditional public accounting environments.
