Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for safe delivery of patient care
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff; provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Float to other units as facility needs require

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Florida
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, nursery, and/or Mother/Baby care
• Minimum 2 years of prior travel nursing experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• PALS certification required (may be obtained within 30 days of start date if not already held)
• AHCA compliance required for Florida placements
• Housing must be secured within 50 miles of the facility prior to acceptance; address must be provided upon placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN certification preferred; may be completed onsite if not already held
• Experience floating across multiple obstetrical care units
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems in an acute care setting
