Medical Account Specialist II - NEUROLOGY - ALBANY, NY

Build our future together The Rare Neurology Medical Account Specialist (MS) engages neurologists and key stakeholders across diverse care settings (academic centers, large group practices, IDNs, and community accounts) within an assigned geography. The MS delivers clinically focused messaging to drive revenue and achieve product goals, demonstrating ownership, initiative, and compliance-integrity performance. Location Field Based – Albany (Metro), NY Discover your role Engage Rare Neurology experts and other key customers within an assigned geography and deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch product, grow brand share and revenue, and consistently meet product goals. Partner with multiple stakeholders, including Reimbursement and Access Specialists, to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends, and develop strategies that support brand and corporate objectives in the assigned territory. Develop strong working relationships with customers, collaborators, and internal contacts (clinics, physicians, nurses, patient advocacy groups, and cross‑functional teams). Conduct rare neurology‑specific market profiling activities to gain deep regional and local healthcare delivery, influencer, and payer system understanding. Apply deep knowledge of applicable customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations). Employ strategic account selling and management skills by creating comprehensive territory/account/customer plans to achieve desired objectives. Ensure all personnel in the account are educated on commercially available Regeneron products. Develop strategy and execute tactics within key accounts in the Rare Neurology therapeutic area to establish, generate, and expand market share. Proactively identify business opportunities within assigned accounts and lead appropriate coordination of effort, including contracting pull‑through support. Gain deep knowledge of each assigned account through internal research and proactive information gathering from various stakeholders. This role requires Bachelor's degree mandatory, master’s degree or additional advanced education/certifications a plus. Minimum 5 years of successful experience in neurologic sales and specialty/biologic/REMS product experience strongly preferred; launch experience preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience working with key thought leaders or high‑influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations focused on neurology. Proven success and a positive track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments, operating with a high degree of integrity within compliance guidelines. Results oriented with a proven track record of success with product launches. Strong account management experience with analytical, problem‑solving, and planning skills. Current account management experience in calling on large neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks. Strong understanding of the neurology therapeutic area and the current neurology marketplace.
