Job Description:

Millenia Free-Standing ER Highlights:

• AdventHealth Millenia ER is a 19,000-square-foot, 24-room emergency department that provides a convenient option for area residents to access emergency care close to home from the number one emergency care team in Central Florida.

• Located adjacent to Interstate 4, the ER will be staffed by a comprehensive clinical team including board-certified emergency physicians and emergency nurses.

• In addition to emergency services, respiratory therapy, diagnostic imaging, and a full-service laboratory will be available and open 24-7.

• Our AdventHealth Millenia ER is here to bring comfort, peace of mind and round-the-clock care to the Millenia community.

Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week

Shift: Days, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm (with weekend rotation)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.

• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.

• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.

• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.

• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Associate of Science degree in Nursing

• Current State of Florida or Multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
