With properties throughout Virginia and West Virginia, we are committed to making a positive impact on our residents, employees, and communities.As an Apartment Maintenance Technician at Big Sky Apartments in Staunton, VA, you will be a key member of our team assisting the Maintenance Supervisor and ensuring our property is in top-notch physical condition, inside and out. A typical day could include plumbing, electrical, basic drywall, carpet, and appliance repairs, plus common area and exterior maintenance and repairs, respond to after-hours emergencies, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents.Key responsibilities include performing and overseeing maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpet, and appliance repairs; maintaining common areas and exteriors to the highest standards; responding to after-hours emergencies (on-call rotation required); delegating tasks to maintenance assistants and ensuring timely completion; maintaining accurate records for work orders, parts, inventory, and service follow-up; fostering a positive, customer-focused environment for residents and team members; participating in ongoing training and mentorship through "The Park Academy"; and other duties as assigned.We're looking for a caring attitude, pride in your work, and commitment to high performance; self-motivation, hard work, and high energy; experience in apartment maintenance or related field preferred; HVAC certification preferred; skilled in using power tools and basic technology (computers/tablets); good people skills, friendly and helpful attitude; ability to lift/carry up to 75 lbs. frequently; strong record-keeping and organizational skills; valid driver's license; rotating after-hours on-call availability and weekends.Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.Pay: $24.00 per hourWork Location: In personIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.Equal Opportunity EmployerA proud Virginia Values Veterans V3-certified company
