Mechanical Technician (RR978)

HART Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Mechanical Technician to assist our engineering team with all aspects of system kitting, build, installation, check-out and test. This position requires travel to various sites, including vendor sites, integration labs, and shipboard travel. Join our highly-integrated, mission-focused team for this unique opportunity. Responsibilities Assist mechanical engineers with mechanical design and maintenance tasks. Provide updates and redlines to mechanical drawings. Provide feedback related to part selection. Work closely with teammates across logistics, procurement, and engineering to support kitting and preparation of parts for mechanical assemblies. Monitor availability of parts and provide inputs to procurement for future orders. Work closely with electrical technicians and engineers to support assembly, integration, installation, test, and troubleshooting of electro‑mechanical parts. Develop and implement maintenance plans. Document processes and maintain service records. Manage tool inventory, organization, and calibration requirements. Maintain a safe and organized work area. Take initiative in daily tasking, supporting all aspects of planning and system build to meet urgent deadlines. Perform other related duties as assigned. Travel to various CONUS and OCONUS sites to support system installation and test (approx. 30% travel). Required Skills and Training A minimum of two years' experience as a mechanical technician in a related industry. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent mechanical and technical skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively independently, or as part of a team. Demonstrated aptitude in use of hand tools. Demonstrated ability to take initiative in daily operations. US Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance. Desired Skills and Training Experience related to DoD projects or customers. A current DoD Security Clearance. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods working in a variety of environmental conditions (e.g. shipboard‑representative). Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Must be able to access and inspect all areas of mechanical systems.
