Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An interim leadership opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacy professional to serve as Director of Pharmacy (also PIC) in a hospital setting located in Nacogdoches, Texas. This contract assignment begins August 3rd and extends for approximately three months. The role operates on a Monday through Friday day shift schedule with no weekend or on-call duties required.

This position demands proven inpatient acute care expertise combined with strong management skills. The pharmacy team includes one clinical pharmacist, several PRN pharmacists, full-time and PRN pharmacy technicians, providing a collaborative environment to support pharmacy operations. The facility utilizes Cerner/Siemens for order entry and Omnicell automation systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide administrative leadership as Director of Pharmacy, overseeing staffing and daily pharmacy operations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote quality patient care
• Coordinate and facilitate pharmacy in-services and staff development
• Maintain a positive and professional work environment adhering to a business casual dress code

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Licensure to practice pharmacy in Texas (required)
• Active Pharmacy-In-Charge (PIC) credentials
• Management experience in an inpatient acute care setting
• Familiarity with Cerner/Siemens order entry systems and Omnicell automation preferred
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
