You'll gain exposure to financial reporting, lease administration, CAM reconciliations, budgeting, and portfolio accounting—building valuable experience within a stable and growing organization that values accuracy, collaboration, and continuous learning .What You'll D oAs a Property Accountant, you'll support the financial operations of a portfolio of commercial properties while ensuring accurate accounting records and exceptional service to both tenants and internal stakeholders .Your responsibilities will include :Process accounts payable, including invoice coding, entry, approvals, and vendor communication .Manage tenant receivables, rent collections, additional rent, and security deposit accounting .Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly bank reconciliations .Support the month-end close process and prepare financial reports, including income statements, budget comparisons, and variance analyses .Maintain accounting schedules, property financial records, and supporting documentation .Assist with annual budgets and forecasting activities .Respond to tenant billing inquiries and coordinate with property managers to resolve accounting issues .Support vendor onboarding, W-9 collection, and insurance documentation .Interpret commercial lease provisions related to base rent, CAM, taxes, and insurance recoveries .Enter new leases and amendments while preparing annual CAM, tax, and insurance reconciliations and tenant bill-backs .Assist with audits, special projects, and ongoing process improvements .What You'll Brin Bachelor's degree in Accounting .Experience with commercial real estate or property accounting is preferred .Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, or similar ERP platforms is a plus .Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office .Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational abilities .Effective written and verbal communication skills .Ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively tYou'll work in a collaborative office environment alongside accounting professionals and property managers who value teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. The role offers exposure to a diverse commercial property portfolio while utilizing industry-leading accounting and property management systems, including platforms such as Yardi, MRI, or comparable technologies.
