Express Employment Professionals is hiring for a company in Peru, IL seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their team. This part-time opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and supporting daily financial operations in a flexible work environment.

Schedule

• Approximately 20 hours per week

• Flexible schedule once training is completed

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices, payments, and receipts

• Maintain and update financial records and accounting databases

• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies

• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities

• Perform data entry and manage financial documentation

• Support accurate financial reporting by collaborating with other departments

• Complete general administrative and accounting-related tasks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred

• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical experience preferred

• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills

• Experience with accounting software is a plus

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures
