International Employment Associate

Summary DLA Piper is actively seeking an associate with 3+ years of experience for our Employment Group. The position focuses on employment counseling, supporting cross‑border and global employment work. The associate will conduct employment diligence, advise on employment law matters in corporate transactions, negotiate employment and related agreements, counsel on reductions in force and employee terminations, draft restrictive covenants, and advise on employee mobility. Responsibilities Conduct employment diligence and advise clients on employment law matters in corporate transactions. Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and other agreements. Counsel on reductions in force, employee terminations, restrictive covenants, and employee mobility. Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with partners, lawyers, clients, staff, and third parties. Produce deliverables and respond to correspondence efficiently and within deadlines. Analyze complex legal issues and provide timely, accurate and well‑reasoned work product. Travel as required to client meetings or business development activities. Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and staff. Adhere to firm policies and maintain organizational standards. Desired Skills Strong oral and written communication, analytical and strategic thinking. Admission to practice in the jurisdiction of application. 3+ years of employment counseling experience (domestic and/or international). Candidates with 5+ years must have international experience. Experience in a major law firm (AmLaw 100) preferred. Benefits Competitive salary range of $260,000 to $420,000 per year, commensurate with experience and location.
