Maintenance Technician IIThe Maintenance Technician II is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of machinery and equipment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and repairs.Compensation: $35 - $38 an hour - paid weeklyShift Available:Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:Conducting preventive maintenance tasks, inspections, and equipment servicing to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtimeTroubleshooting and diagnosing all types of equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes, and implementing effective repair solutionsRepairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems using hand tools, power tools, and precision instrumentsPerforming routine maintenance on blown film machinery, including extruders, dies, air rings, cooling systems, winders, and associated equipment.Collaborating with lead operators and production teams to identify and address equipment issues or performance concernsCoordinating with external vendors or contractors for specialized repairs, installations, or equipment upgradesMaintaining accurate maintenance records, including work orders, repair logs, and inventory managementAdhering to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and disposal of materials.Keeping abreast of advancements in maintenance technology and equipment, recommending improvements or upgrades as neededOther essential duties as assignedCandidate Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentTechnical schooling and/or certifications in electrical control systems, hydraulic systems, programmable logic controllers and pneumatics are preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing facility or related fieldStrong technical knowledge of machinery, preferably including extruders, dies, air rings, cooling systems, winders, pneumatics, electrical, electronics, hydraulics, and associated equipment.Strong knowledge and ability to interpret prints, schematics, and assembly drawingsHigh proficiency in troubleshooting all types of electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic equipment malfunctions, diagnosing issues, and implementing effective repair solutionsStrong knowledge and experience with preventive maintenance strategies, equipment servicing, and repair techniquesStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressureExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet maintenance schedulesStrong knowledge and experience with safety regulations and best practices in an industrial manufacturing settingStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholdersExcellent computer literacy for maintenance tracking and reporting
