Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Charlottesville, Virginia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/12/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 48 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 4x12hrs\n Hours: 48 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 12, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring Level I or II trauma center experience and a VA or compact RN license.Details\n \n Emergency Department setting within a Level I and Level II Trauma Center\n Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM\n 36 or 48 hours per week\n Weekends required with scheduled days varying based on staffing needs\n Every other holiday required\n Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed\n Uses Epic EMR\n Floating required within scope of practice as needed\n Requirements\n \n Active VA or compact RN license (pending accepted, must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)\n Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required\n TNCC required (pending accepted but must be obtained before start)\n Minimum 2 years of ER experience required\n At least 1 year of Level I trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience required\n Some pediatric experience required\n Epic EMR experience required\n BSN preferred\n Additional Information\n \n Provide emergency department nursing care including patient triage\n Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off approved per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration\n Time off requests will not be approved around Labor Day\n Any vacation time planned between offer acceptance and start date must be disclosed to arrange an appropriate start date\n Facility policy requires 1-year separation and leadership approval for previous permanent staff or internal travelers\n External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return once this limit is reached\n Specialty-specific orientation modules required, completed during orientation and recorded in Workday\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-748041.
