With the recent affiliation of Arnot Health and the establishment of Xtensys, an organization focused on the integration and strategic operations of this expanding health system, we are poised to become the premier care organization across New York.Staff Pharmacists/Inpatient fill orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies, provide drug information, and supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the inpatient pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist/inpatient may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the inpatient pharmacy manager.Roles and Responsibilities:Interprets medication orders and transcribes to computerized patient profiles accurately, maintaining complete patient medication profiles.Prepares and dispenses medications, including sterile IV preparations, using proper techniques.Issues controlled substances to patient care areas and maintains records as required by law.Monitors medication therapy regimens for interactions, allergies, appropriateness, and therapeutic duplication.Provides clinical consultation, recommends evidence-based medication regimens, and suggests cost-effective therapeutic alternatives.Attends ABC alert codes, assists with pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation consult services, and reports adverse drug events and medication errors accurately and timelyRequired Skills and Experience:Education - Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with either a BS pharmacy or PharmD required.Licensure - Currently licensed in the State of New York.Demonstrates flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilitiesPreferred Skills and Experience:Health-system pharmacy experience preferred, but not required.Location and Travel Requirements:OnsiteM -F, Sa/Su 7am-3:30pm, or 7:30am-4pm Sa/Su: 12-8pm (rotating)Pay Range Disclosure:$55.48 to $70.00 per hourCayuga Health System and its affiliates are committed to treating all patients, providers, staff and volunteers equitably and with dignity, ensuring the highest levels of safety, care and respect, and striving to recognize and overcome biases and policies that contribute to disparities in healthcare access, equitable care and positive health outcomes for all.We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, supporting the growth and health of our employees and community by embracing the rich diversity, needs and circumstances of all peoples and prioritizing opportunities to build a diverse and inclusive workplace.
