Preconstruction Estimator - HVAC - CharlotteHighland Consulting Group is a national executive search firm that specializes in recruiting and placing top talent for the construction industry.We are recruiting for an experienced HVAC Preconstruction Estimator in Charlotte, NC area. The position is with a company that is experiencing great growth. Our client is a regional contractor that has the resources and support of multiple locations in the area. Project mix includes Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Multi-family, and Industrial. The position needs to be filled immediately. Successful candidates must have a minimum of 3 years with some combination of Estimating HVAC / Sheet Metal / Plumbing. Additional experience in Mechanical Piping is strongly preferred.Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Development of master budgets and cost models for HVAC projectsProvide Hard Bid Estimates of projectsDevelop and maintain cost databasesReviews and comments on estimates provided by othersProvide independent estimates of change ordersDevelop pre-construction cost estimatesRead and understand bid documentsRequirementsSolid Communication both verbal and written.Ability to establish timelines and budgets.Ability to multi-task.Solid proven and verifiable record of career stability and estimating success is a must.Individuals with ability to create conceptual bids for Design / Build projects will strongly be consideredExperience: 3 years experience as a HVAC EstimatorMust have solid computer skills.Someone with advanced computer estimating experience is highly preferredThe ability to work as a Project Manager is a plus.A college degree is requiredBenefitsThis company cares about and is committed to the well being of its employees and their families.
