BILLING ANALYST

Job Description Department: 200 – Shared Service Administration Reports To: Billing Manager Direct Reports: This role has no direct reports. FLSA Classification: Exempt Updated: 3/2026

THE POSITION

Under the direction of the Billing Manager this role will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely billing for our customers, troubleshooting issues, and implementing new initiatives to ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing and carrier payments.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Audit and review carrier invoices for accuracy. Update TMS for customer billing. Contact freight carriers for missing information and problem resolution. Prepare customer reports. Create and be accountable for key performance metrics. Perform all other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma

EXPERIENCE / TRAINING

Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new software and technology Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities Exceptional attention to detail with strong multitasking capabilities Fluent in reading, writing, typing, and speaking English; Spanish is a plus but not necessary. Licenses / Certifications: N/A Technology / Equipment: Experience with Microsoft Office – especially Excel and Outlook.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education: Associates degree preferred.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to continuously sit, use a keyboard, calculator, and telephone. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, and/or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds while moving files or small packages.
