Job Summary Provide medical and clinical services to patients in the health centers and Justice Services. Essential Functions Examine and counsel patients. Order tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition. Analyze findings of tests and of examination and diagnose condition. Participate in emergency preparedness and response activities. Marginal Functions Perform other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications Requires certification by the Missouri State Board of Registration and National Board Certification for the medical specialty. Selection Committee: Evaluates the qualifications of each applicant, including education, experience, supplemental question responses, employment references, and other relevant information. Applicants are admitted to interview only if they possess the most job-related qualifications. Interview grades constitute 100% of the earned grade; a qualifying grade of 70 or more is required. The top five ranked candidates are certified to the department director/appointing authority for final appointment. All applicants conditionally offered a merit position will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment; the cost of screening will be covered by the County. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy The Department of Public Health requires all newly hired employees to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Acceptable proof includes CDC COVID-19 vaccination cards, documentation from a health care provider, electronic health record, or state immunization information system record. New employees must be fully vaccinated prior to starting service. Full vaccination is defined as receipt of a two-dose series or a single-dose vaccine approved under FDA Emergency Use Authorization. For individuals with medical or religious exemptions, a waiver may be requested; those granted an exemption must wear a facial covering and submit to weekly testing.
