Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients, evaluating the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms to tailor effective treatment strategies.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, aligning with their specific goals and preferences to ensure a personalized therapeutic experience.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address client needs.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and essential self-care practices to empower them in their therapeutic journeys.
• Monitor client progress through regular evaluations and adjust treatment plans as necessary to enhance client outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring comprehensive support for our clients.
• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continuously improve and adapt therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards while actively participating in case consultations and team meetings.
• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and work towards reducing stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on serving individuals and families dealing with relational issues, particularly those affected by divorce, separation, and emotional distress associated with these life changes. You will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring an inclusive approach that respects their unique experiences and perspectives.

Qualifications

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a safe, trusting environment conducive to effective therapy.
• Empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' experiences and struggles.
• Strong organizational skills and time-management abilities to handle the demands of a full caseload efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Certification or proficiency in therapeutic modalities such as structural family therapy, strategic therapy, systems therapy, narrative therapy, or communication therapy is highly desirable.
• A demonstrated ability to deliver relationship and divorce counseling effectively.

• The position offers an annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $104,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
