School-Based Outpatient Therapist

Shodair Children's Hospital is seeking a School-Based Outpatient Therapist to provide behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families within partner school districts throughout the greater Helena area. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering therapy services directly within schools while working toward independent clinical licensure.

What You'll Do

• Provide mental health assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
• Deliver individual, family, group, and crisis counseling services.
• Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, teachers, and community partners.
• Develop behavior and safety plans and coordinate referrals and discharge planning.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and treatment records.
• Participate in clinical supervision, treatment team meetings, and the outpatient on-call rotation.
• Provide education and consultation to school personnel and families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current Montana candidate license (PCLC, SWLC, or equivalent).
• Eligible for Montana licensure as an LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist and actively working toward full licensure.
• Experience providing individual, family, or group therapy.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred.
• Ability to travel regularly to partner schools within the Helena region.

Salary Description Starting at $74,200 annually
