In 1972, Chuck Wagner started Caymus Vineyards with his parents, Charlie and Lorna – a family of farmers with deep roots in the Napa Valley dating back to the 1850s. Although the Wagners are famous for producing their highly sought after Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, they don’t plan on resting on those laurels. Chuck, his son Charlie, and his daughter Jenny are now exploring and farming Suisun Valley, a lesser known wine region east of Napa Valley, whose wines rival their more famous neighbor in expression and intensity. Position Summary
Events East at Caymus-Suisun is seeking an energetic, organized, and passionate Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This position plays a key role in creating memorable food experiences that complement our wines while supporting corporate events, private events, wine tastings, and daily culinary offerings.

Primary Responsibilities
•  Prepare ingredients for daily service, including washing, cutting, portioning, and organizing products.
•  Execute recipes with consistency, attention to detail, and proper presentation.
•  Assist with food production for wine pairings, tasting experiences, corporate events, and private events.
•  Maintain station organization and cleanliness throughout each shift.
•  Properly label, date, rotate, and store all food products following FIFO procedures.
•  Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
•  Prepare sauces, dressings, soups, stocks, and other kitchen components as directed by the Chef or Sous Chef.
•  Work multiple stations as needed during service.
•  Ensure all food is prepared to Caymus-Suisun quality standards.
•  Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in accordance with health department regulations.
•  Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
•  Assist with setup and breakdown for catered events and special functions.
•  Support the culinary team wherever needed while maintaining a positive attitude.
•  Help minimize food waste through proper preparation and portion control.
•  Perform additional duties assigned by the Chef or Sous Chef.

Qualifications
•  Previous restaurant, catering, winery, hotel, or hospitality kitchen experience preferred.
•  Strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques.
•  Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
•  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
•  Ability to stand for extended periods.
•  Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by events.
•  California Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Preferred Experience
•  Experience with banquet or event cooking.
•  Familiarity with seasonal, locally sourced, farm-to-table cuisine.
•  Experience operating Rational Combi Ovens and iVario cooking systems is highly preferred.
•  Experience preparing food for wine pairing menus is a plus.
•  Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.

Salary Range $24–$28 /hr
EOE ~ Salary commensurate with experience
