As a Custom Protection Officer Armed Customer Service in Rockville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a retail location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $35.00 / Hour Job Schedule Mon 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM Tue 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM Wed 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM Thur 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM Fri 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and congregants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and public gathering location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel. Maintain required documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity reports, while following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures. Minimum Requirements Must possess one or more of the following: Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service Possess an Armed Guard Card or License. Customer service experience is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
