Distribution Supervisor

As a Distribution Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating daily activities to ensure desired results in productivity, teamwork, safety, quality, and job knowledge. You will oversee all aspects of the distribution center to ensure products are processed and delivered accurately and promptly. In this role, you will provide day-to-day direction and development to hourly staff, conduct performance appraisals, and collaborate across departments to drive optimal productivity.

Responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate daily activities to achieve productivity, teamwork, safety, quality, and job knowledge goals.
• Oversee all aspects of the distribution center to ensure accurate and timely product processing and delivery.
• Provide day-to-day direction and development to hourly staff, including coaching, counseling, career development, and corrective actions.
• Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide ongoing feedback on overall performance.
• Interview and hire new employees.
• Collaborate across departments to drive optimal productivity.
• Analyze business and performance trends to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
• Foster an environment where diverse backgrounds are respected and valued.
• Respond to employee needs with professionalism, respect, and consideration.
• Manage difficult employee situations in a professional manner.

Essential Skills

• Experience in warehouse distribution, supervision, and warehouse management.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 4-6 years of warehouse experience.
• 1-3 years of experience as a lead or supervisor.
• Ability to read, write, and identify colors, sizes, quantities, labels, and SKU information.
• Demonstrated ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Sound and accurate judgment.
• Flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to changes in the work environment.
• Accuracy and thoroughness in monitoring work to ensure quality.
• Strong conflict management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-directed and motivated with initiative to identify and anticipate department needs.
• Ability to work in a high-demand, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is based in a brand-new distribution center outfitted with automated robotic technology. The environment is fast-paced and requires constant alertness. You may need to lift or move up to 60 lbs, bend, twist, and pull. Operating powered equipment may be necessary, and you might be required to wear a headset and PPE, such as a protective harness, while operating equipment. The noise level is moderate, and you will work near conveyor systems and moving parts. Steel toe boots and hard hats are not required.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ashland, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $75000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary. Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 152 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.
