Accounts Receivable Specialist

Accounts Receivable SpecialistPoints North, the leading software company in the compliance and reporting space, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage customer cancellation and refund requests, issue invoices, post customer payments to accounts, assist with collections on past-due accounts, and reconcile billing discrepancies. You will verify billing information for new customers and place holds on services for existing customers if their information is out of date. You will also assist the Accounting Manager with month-end responsibilities related to accounts receivable and other customer-related activities.What You'll Be Doing:Manage customer cancellation and refund requests with professionalism, care, and a focus on creating a smooth customer experienceMaintain accurate customer master data to help ensure billing, reporting, and account information stay clean and reliableProcess and post customer payments accurately and timely, supporting healthy cash flow and strong financial operationsManage usage-based invoicing with attention to detail, helping customers receive clear, accurate, and timely billingRespond to customer inquiries in a helpful, solutions-oriented way while collaborating with internal teams as neededResearch and reconcile billing issues, bringing curiosity, follow-through, and accuracy to resolve discrepanciesProvide miscellaneous finance support that helps the Accounting team stay organized, responsive, and ready for month-end activitiesWhat We Are Looking For:A highly organized, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and keeping important information on trackStrong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and helpfully with customers and teammatesFlexibility and a positive mindset when adapting to changing priorities, processes, or business needsA process improvement mindset, with an interest in finding smarter, more efficient ways to get work done accuratelyCuriosity and enthusiasm for learning new tools and technology, including how AI can support efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvementQualifications:Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent and relevant experience2+ years of professional accounting experience, bonus if within a SaaS or recurring revenue environment1+ years of billing experience, preferred1+ years' experience with ERP or Accounting software, QuickBooks preferred1+ years' experience with CRM systems, HubSpot preferredWilling to work in a hybrid environment (1-2x/week in office) out of our Bloomington, MN HQAt Points North, we believe that taking care of our team is the foundation of our success.
